Missions Week begins on Sunday October 5th in both AM services 9 & 10:45am featuring our missionaries from Vietnam and an update from our Missions Team who will return from Haiti on Saturday, October 4th, 2014.
Wednesday, October 8th our Missions Week continues with guests featuring updates on how HCC supports the local missions with a report from Jonathan Kelm from Decatur Cares Rescue Mission Mission Outreach providing love of Christ through shelter and transition opportunities. Grace House for women, Pershing Rd Mission for men, Water St Mission service and supper for the inner-city, and Hope's Attic Thrift Store as a source of income. and Penny Weaver from New Life Pregnancy Center which offers pregnancy testing and care for those finding they have and unexpected - unplanned pregnancy giving services to those who need pre-natal care, counseling, referrals, childbirth classes and a Blessing Boutique providing necessary needs of mother and baby, and Dale McKinney from a new medical clinic "TZEDAKAH" a new free Christian based medical clinic facility with medical, mental and spiritual support for Decatur and its communities for families who do not have the care of a family doctor or are not provided medical insurance through employment or other means.

Wednesday Night Dinners will be available from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the Grand Palace, $6 p/Adult, $4 p/child, or $20 p/family (4 or more).
Sunday, October 12th in both AM services 9 & 10:45am will conclude our missions week featuring an update from our missionaries from China.

Our annual Harvest will take place on Friday, October 31st from 6:00pm to 8:00pm featuring Trunk or Treat, prizes and giveaways. This is a well known Decatur Event, no registration is required and free to the public for children birth to 6th Grade (12 years) years of age.

If you are interested in donating candy for this event you may bring it to the drop off area in the church lobby near the Welcome Area or you may bring to the church office Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. All candy must be individually wrapped candies (no homemade treats are alllowed).
Harvest Fest will continue as planned rain or shine. In the event of heavy rain, candy will be distributed indoors.
