Pastor Joe Bowman
Lead Pastor
Pastor Joe Bowman and his family came to us from Chicago, Illinois in March of 2007. For 26 years, Joe has served the Kingdom of God in many roles in Illinois, Oklahoma and Southern Missouri as an evangelist, minister of music, Christian education director and lead pastor. Joe is a 1987 graduate of North Central University in Minneapolis with a bachelors degree in sacred music and pastoral studies. His continued education has been in the area of family counseling and the study of Worship trends in America and is Ordained with the Assemblies of God. Joe and Angela have been married for 25 years and have two children Natalie (22) and Tiffanie (20) both studying here in Decatur at Richland Community College and Millikin University. The Bowmans bring musical giftings, a passion for worship and a desire to see the world won for Christ through anointed outreach and the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Pastor Andy Troyer
Youth and First Touch Ministries
Pastor Andy and Becky joined the Heartland family in September of 2007 from Dayton, OH where Andy served as Pastor of Student Ministries. He is a 2005 graduate from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and holds a bachelor of arts degree in Youth Ministry. Both Andy and Becky are intentional about raising up a generation that demonstrates a love and passion for both God and people. Pastor Jonathan Greene
Children's Ministries & Connection Groups
Jonathan and Merijha Greene came to us by way of northern Illinois. Jonathan has served in churches in Illinois, Arizona and Texas. Each ministry opportunity has been serving kids and families. It is his heart to see a generation of kids who grow in their walk with the Lord. Both Jonathan and Merijha are graduates of Southwestern Assemblies of God University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Church Ministries. Jonathan and Merijha have been married for 13 wonderful years. As well, they are the parents of two boys, Hutson and Ethan. Pastor Mark Yeske
Clinton Campus and 55+ Adult Ministries
Pastor Mark Yeske and his wife Deborah have served together with their four children in various ministries since 1980 when they were married and started their family. Pastor Mark has "pastored" two church congregations one a pioneer work in Indiana and another one in Decatur. He also serves/has served in hospital chaplaincy, student teaching, prison/jail, nursing home and missions ministry. He holds degrees in Business Management, Biblical Studies and Clinical Pastoral Education. Pastor Mark's passion is in making disciples who make disciples; church development, evangelistic outreach and the ministry of God's Word. Grand Palace Event Coordinator
Pam has been here at Heartland for nearly 24 years. She and her husband, Gene, have been married for 35 years. They raised two boys, Gerald who is married to Denise, who have two children Colleen and London and their youngest son, Matthew, who is married to Karen. | Annetta Finley
Staff Counselor
Annetta has been a resident of Decatur, IL since 1984. She is a graduate of Ozark Bible Institute, Neosho, MO. Annetta is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SIU at Edwardsville. She graduated from Lincoln Christian Seminary in Lincoln, IL in 2004 with a Master of Arts in Counseling Ministry. Rachel and her family joined the church congregation in February of 2009. Rachel and her husband, Bruce, have been married since 2005 and have a blended family of three children; Blake, Cody, and Bryce. In her position, Rachel will be able to utilize her computer, management, communication and organizational skills to help minister to the needs of the Heartland family as well as serve the community.
